Launch reminders
If you sign up at /alerts/, we store your email address, the kind of launches you chose, whether you ticked the Sunday brief, the page you signed up on, the time, and the network address the request came from (to stop floods of fake sign-ups). Nothing is sent until you press the link in the confirmation email. Each reminder has an unsubscribe link that works in one step, and mail apps can use the one-click unsubscribe header. Emails are sent through Resend, which processes the address to deliver them. We do not sell, rent or share the list.
Device alerts
If you turn on device alerts at /alerts/, your browser gives us an address on its push service (run by your browser's maker, such as Google, Apple or Mozilla) and two keys that let only your browser read what we send. We store those, the kind of launches you chose, the page you turned alerts on from, the time and the network address the request came from. No name or email is involved. Turning alerts off on that page deletes the record at once. If you block them in your browser instead, the record is deleted the next time an alert can't be delivered.
Page counts
Public pages load Google Analytics 4, which counts visits and a few clicks (the Starlink and Grok Bot referral buttons, store links, calendar links, the quiz). Google sets its own cookies for that; see Google's privacy policy for how it handles the data. The admin area loads no analytics.
Pad Zero also counts clicks on its referral and affiliate links itself (the Starlink and Grok Bot links and the Amazon links in the viewing guides), so we can see which placements people use. It keeps one number per link, page type and day: no address, no cookie and nothing that identifies you or your browser.
Your browser
The quiz keeps your best score in your browser's local storage and nowhere else. There is no login for visitors and no cart; orders happen in our Printful store under Printful's terms.
Gear links
The gear lists in the viewing guides link to Amazon with our Amazon Associates tag, so Amazon can tell a purchase came through Pad Zero and pay us a commission. Amazon learns that from its own cookies once you are on its site, under its privacy notice; we receive no details about you or what you buy.
Referral links
The Starlink and Grok Bot bands carry our referral links. Opening one tells Starlink or X Subscription Corp that you came through Pad Zero, under their own privacy policies. Under the Grok Bot program's terms, if you start a trial through our link, X Subscription Corp may show us your email address (possibly partly hidden) or your X handle so we can see the referral is ours. We never receive payment details, and we use nothing we see for any other purpose.

To have your address removed entirely rather than marked unsubscribed, reply to any reminder email, or write to J Media Group LLC, 8401 Mayland Dr #7941, Richmond, VA 23294, USA. Pad Zero is run by J Media Group LLC. It is an unofficial fan site, not run, endorsed or sponsored by SpaceX or Starlink.
